19 August 2008 at 9:22 PM Jo gave birth to a girl. The baby was born at a private hospital.
Since it was an auspicious day Aadi Velli, they had caesarean operation done.Upon hearing his baby being born, he rushed from the shooting location of Vel to the hospital to be with his wife and child. The couple got married last year following a fairytale romance. Surya said, "I am one of the happiest people now. There are no words that can express my happiness at this moment. We both feel blessed to have out first baby."
